We collect the data needed to operate the features you choose to use: account information (email, name, encrypted password, and sign-in provider identifiers when you use Google or Apple sign-in), conversation history (stored on our servers—per device for anonymous users and linked to your account when signed in), saved articles, favorites, and reading preferences, news and promotion interaction data (such as reactions, favorites, and aggregated click/view events), marketplace listing information and uploaded images for shops or announcements you submit, technical data (device type, device model name, device identifier, anonymized IP, app version, and basic diagnostics), notification permission choices, and subscription status or entitlement data. We use device identifiers to enforce account-per-device limits and prevent abuse. We practice data minimization and only collect what is strictly necessary.

Your data is used to: provide and personalize AI chat in Tamil, sync your history when you choose to sign in, organize your news feed and favorites, process and review marketplace submissions, manage subscriptions and restore purchases, provide technical or priority support, measure promotion performance with aggregated or device-level data, enforce security and device-based usage limits, and maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Tamil AI using aggregated or de-identified information where appropriate. We never sell your personal data.

Your sensitive data is protected with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We comply with GDPR, the AI Act, and ePrivacy Directive. Our processing is based in the EU with adequate safeguards for any international transfers.

As an EU resident, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), portability, restriction of processing, and objection (including to advertising profiling). You can withdraw your consent at any time via app settings or by contacting us at contact@tamilai.app.

To support Tamil AI's free service, we use affiliate partnerships. Some recommendations (marked "Partner") may contain affiliate links. If you make a purchase through these links, Tamil AI may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. We may store aggregated or device-level click and view data to measure promotion performance, but we do not use third-party advertising SDKs inside the app.

To provide our services, we work with carefully selected providers and only share the data needed for each task: AI processing providers handle prompts and conversation context to generate responses; news aggregation providers index third-party articles; Google and Apple sign-in can receive your email and name during authentication; billing platforms and a subscription management provider process purchase receipts and entitlement status; moderation and support tools help us review marketplace submissions and respond to issues; address and location services can help prefill marketplace addresses. We may also rely on notification frameworks for the notification features you enable. Conversations are not used to train public AI models, and provider access is limited to what is necessary to deliver the service.

By creating an account or accessing Tamil AI, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are under 16 years old, you must have parental consent. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement governed by French law.

Tamil AI applies a zero tolerance policy regarding objectionable content. You agree not to use the AI to generate illegal, hateful, violent, or discriminatory content. Sanctions: Users can report any content via the "Report" button. We reserve the right to permanently ban, without notice, any user violating these rules.

Tamil AI uses advanced generative artificial intelligence technologies (LLM) provided by leading third-party technology partners to generate responses. AI outputs may contain errors, biases, or inaccuracies ("hallucinations"). The AI does not always have real-time information. Responses do not constitute professional advice (medical, legal, financial) under any circumstances.

Tamil AI acts as an information aggregator. We provide short factual summaries and links to original sources. We claim no ownership rights over articles or images from third-party publishers. Full content is always viewed via the built-in browser on the original publisher's site.

The service is provided "as is". Tamil AI's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by French law. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI responses, third-party article content, or service interruptions beyond our control.

These terms are governed by the laws of France. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action. We may update these terms; for significant changes, we will notify you 30 days in advance.

When you create a shop listing, we collect: Shop information (name, description, category, address, contact details, opening hours), Business owner information (name, email, phone number), Images you upload (shop photos, logos, product images), Social media links (optional), Verification status. All data is collected with your explicit consent and stored securely.

Images you upload for your shop are stored securely on our servers. We process and optimize images for display purposes. Images may be publicly visible to all users of Tamil AI. You retain ownership of your images but grant Tamil AI a license to display them in connection with your shop listing. You can request deletion of your images at any time by contacting us.

Your shop data is used to: Display your shop listing to Tamil AI users, Enable search and filtering functionality, Send verification emails and notifications, Improve our services and user experience, Comply with legal obligations. We never sell your shop data to third parties. Your contact information may be visible to users who view your shop listing.

By creating a shop listing, you understand that: Your shop name, description, images, contact information, and location will be publicly visible to all Tamil AI users, Your shop may appear in search results and category listings, Your shop information may be indexed by search engines, You can request removal of your shop listing at any time.

By creating a shop listing on Tamil AI, you confirm that: You are the owner or authorized representative of the business, All information provided is accurate and truthful, You have the right to use any images you upload, You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, You are at least 16 years old or have parental consent.

Your shop listing must comply with the following: No false, misleading, or fraudulent information, No content that violates intellectual property rights, No content that is illegal, harmful, or promotes illegal activities, No spam, duplicate listings, or attempts to manipulate search results, Respectful and professional language and imagery. Violations may result in immediate removal of your shop listing.

When uploading images for your shop: You must own or have permission to use all images, Images must be relevant to your shop and business, No offensive, inappropriate, or copyrighted content without permission, Images should be clear and of reasonable quality, Tamil AI reserves the right to remove or reject images that violate these guidelines. You are responsible for ensuring all images comply with applicable laws.

All shop listings require email verification before publication. You will receive a verification email with a link to confirm your shop listing. Unverified shops will not be visible to users. Tamil AI may request additional verification for certain categories or if concerns arise. We reserve the right to verify business legitimacy and may contact you for additional information.

Tamil AI acts as a platform for shop listings. We are not responsible for: The accuracy of information provided by shop owners, The quality of products or services offered, Business transactions between users and shop owners, Any disputes arising from shop listings, The content of external websites linked from shop listings. Shop owners are solely responsible for their listings and any claims arising therefrom.

Tamil AI reserves the right to remove or suspend shop listings that: Violate these terms or our content guidelines, Are reported as fraudulent or misleading, Contain inappropriate or illegal content, Are inactive or abandoned for extended periods, Violate intellectual property rights. We may remove listings without prior notice in cases of serious violations. You may appeal removal decisions by contacting us.

When you create an announcement, we collect: Announcement information (title, description, category, price, location), Your contact information (name, email, phone number), Images you upload (product photos, service images), Verification status, View statistics (anonymized). All data is collected with your explicit consent and stored securely.

Images you upload for your announcements are stored securely on our servers. We process and optimize images for display purposes. Images may be publicly visible to all users of Tamil AI. Your announcement must comply with the following: No false, misleading, or fraudulent information, No content that violates intellectual property rights, No content that is illegal, harmful, or promotes illegal activities, No spam, duplicate announcements, or attempts to manipulate search results, Respectful and appropriate language and imagery, Accurate pricing and product/service descriptions. Violations may result in immediate removal of your announcement.

When uploading images for your announcement: You must own or have permission to use all images, Images must accurately represent the item or service being offered, No offensive, inappropriate, or copyrighted content without permission, Images should be clear and of reasonable quality, No misleading or deceptive images, Tamil AI reserves the right to remove or reject images that violate these guidelines. You are responsible for ensuring all images comply with applicable laws.

All announcements require email verification before publication. You will receive a verification email with a link to confirm your announcement. Unverified announcements will not be visible to users. Tamil AI may request additional verification for certain categories or if concerns arise. We reserve the right to verify announcement legitimacy and may contact you for additional information.

Tamil AI acts as a platform for announcements. We are not responsible for: The accuracy of information provided by users, The quality, safety, or legality of items or services offered, Business transactions between users, Any disputes arising from announcements, The content of external websites linked from announcements. Users are solely responsible for their announcements and any claims arising therefrom.

Tamil AI reserves the right to remove or suspend announcements that: Violate these terms or our content guidelines, Are reported as fraudulent or misleading, Contain inappropriate or illegal content, Are inactive or expired, Violate intellectual property rights, Are duplicates or spam. We may remove announcements without prior notice in cases of serious violations. You may appeal removal decisions by contacting us.

When you interact with promotions, we collect: Anonymized click and view statistics, Interaction timestamps, Device type and app version (anonymized). We do not collect personal data when you view or click on promotions. No personal information is shared with promotion partners.

Some promotions contain affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link, you are redirected to the partner's website. We track only anonymized click counts to measure promotion performance. We do not track your activity on partner websites. Partner websites have their own privacy policies that apply once you leave Tamil AI.

Anonymized promotion data is used to: Measure the effectiveness of promotions, Improve the relevance of displayed offers, Generate aggregate statistics for partners (no personal data), Support the free operation of Tamil AI through affiliate revenue.

All promotion interaction data is anonymized and cannot be linked to individual users. Data is processed in compliance with GDPR and stored securely in the EU. We apply the principle of data minimization to all promotion-related data collection.

Promotion partners are carefully selected for relevance to the Tamil community. We only partner with reputable services. Partners do not receive any personal data from Tamil AI. By using Tamil AI, you acknowledge that: The app displays promotions and partner offers, Some links may be affiliate links that generate revenue for Tamil AI, Promotions are clearly marked as partner content, Interacting with promotions is entirely optional and voluntary.

Tamil AI participates in affiliate programs. When you click on a promotion marked as "Partner" and make a purchase or sign up for a service, Tamil AI may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This revenue helps us keep the app free for all users.

All promotions displayed in Tamil AI are reviewed for quality and relevance. We only feature partners that offer legitimate services relevant to the Tamil community. However, Tamil AI does not endorse, guarantee, or warrant the products or services offered by partners.

Tamil AI is not responsible for: The quality, safety, or legality of partner products or services, Any transactions between you and promotion partners, Claims, disputes, or damages arising from partner interactions, The accuracy of promotional content provided by partners, Service interruptions or changes by partner services.

Promotion links redirect you to external websites operated by third parties. These websites have their own terms of service and privacy policies. Tamil AI has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.

Tamil AI reserves the right to: Add, modify, or remove promotions at any time, Change partner relationships without notice, Update these terms as needed. Continued use of Tamil AI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Tamil AI Premium subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain Premium access until then. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period. Tamil AI does not process cancellations directly; all subscription management is handled by Apple or Google.

Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Tamil AI does not process refunds directly. To request a refund, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or Google through the Play Store order history. Refund eligibility and decisions are made solely by the respective platform.

Tamil AI reserves the right to change subscription prices. If we change the price, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance. Price changes take effect at the start of the next billing period following the notice. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.

Tamil AI Premium includes unlimited AI conversations and messages, priority support, and a cleaner experience in supported parts of the app, including no inserted affiliate items in the news feed. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove Premium features with reasonable notice. Free features remain available to all users regardless of subscription status.

Your Premium subscription is linked to your Tamil AI account and the Apple ID or Google account used for purchase. If you delete your Tamil AI account, your subscription will not be automatically cancelled — you must cancel it separately through your App Store or Google Play settings. You can restore your subscription on a new device by logging in with the same account and using the Restore Purchases feature.

When you subscribe to Tamil AI Premium, the following data is processed: purchase receipts and transaction identifiers (processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store), subscription status and entitlement information (managed by our subscription management provider), billing period and renewal dates, and your Tamil AI account identifier linked to the subscription. Payment details (credit card, billing address) are handled exclusively by Apple or Google and are never stored or directly accessible by Tamil AI.

All payments are processed securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Tamil AI does not directly handle, store, or have access to your payment information. We use a subscription management provider to verify purchase status, restore purchases, and manage entitlements. That provider receives only the data required for subscription operations and does not access your chat content or marketplace content.

Your subscription data is used to: Verify your Premium status and grant access to Premium features, Manage subscription lifecycle (activation, renewal, cancellation), Sync your Premium status across devices, Provide priority customer support to Premium subscribers, Comply with legal and financial obligations. We never sell your subscription data to third parties.

Subscription data is protected with encryption at rest and in transit. Providers involved in subscription processing are expected to apply appropriate security safeguards, and your subscription status is stored securely in our EU-hosted database.
